EASA Show still a “definite go” despite mechanical room explosion at Gaylord Opryland

The Electrical Apparatus Service Association has released a statement assuring attendees that the EASA Convention & Exhibition, June 24-26,  is still a “definite go,” despite news reports of an explosion in a mechanical room at Gaylord Opryland’s Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn., the convention’s location, yesterday evening. According the EASA, although the hotel was evacuated for precaution, guests returned to the hotel overnight and exhibit space being used by EASA was not impacted. The hotel remains open.
