Stormy weather did not deter the crowd at the National Electrical Manufacturers Association‘s Hurricane Sandy: Rebuild Smart event on June 13th, which aimed to present disaster preparation and improvement in the power grid. Speaking at the event were NEMA CEO Evan R. Gaddis and New York Representative Peter King. Both men stressed the importance of a smart, reliable power grid system when considering future disasters the rebuilding process can ” integrate smart technologies that can make our power grid more resilient,” according to Representative King.
