Shermco enters training alliance with Delaware Valley group

Shermco Industries, the Irving, Tex., provider of testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and power distribution systems, has entered into a strategic alliance with the Delaware Valley Safety Council (DVSC). The DVSC provides safety training to owner companies, contractor companies, contractors, and employees working in industrial facilities in Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

Through this partnership, the DVSC will offer 12 of Shermco’s training courses at the council<0x2019>s training facilities in Sewell, N.J., and Newark, Del. The courses range in duration from eight to 36 hours and have maximum class sizes of either 14 or 20 students. The first class is expected in April of this year, and a course schedule will be released soon, according to Shermco.

Shermco courses offered by the DVSC will include Basic Electrical Fundamentals, Basic Electrical Technical Skills, Electrical Safety for Qualified Electrical Workers, Electrical Safety for Managers, Motor Maintenance and Testing, Industrial Plant Electrical Maintenance, and Low and Medium Voltage Circuit Breaker Maintenance.
