Seven NEMA member companies honored with Energy Star Award

The Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy honored seven National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) member companies with the 2014 ENERGY STAR Award. Businesses and organizations were honored for their “outstanding contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency.”

“Our members are in the energy efficiency business,” said NEMA President and CEO Evan R Gaddis in congratulating the companies honored. “Electroindustry products are becoming more and more energy efficient and the systems that often manage their use add to energy and cost savings.”

The following NEMA member companies will be honored in these categories:

ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year—Sustained Excellence

  • 3M Company
  • LG Electronics, Inc. (Product Manufacturer)
  • Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (Product Manufacturer)

ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year

  • LG Electronics, Inc. (Climate Communications)
  • MaxLite
  • Phillips Lighting Company
  • Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (Climate Communications)
  • Technical Consumer Products, Inc.

ENERGY STAR Award for Excellence

  • Cree, Inc.
