Electrolux Acquires GE Appliance Sector

Yesterday, Stockholm-based home appliance company Electrolux agreed to purchase the appliance division of General Electric for $3.3 billion dollars. In an effort to concentrate on their industrial  and technology products and endeavors, Bloomberg reports, GE put the well-known appliance division for sale. The acquisition will increase Electrolux’s North American market and be a step toward a more interconnected home with smart appliances, Hans Nichols of Bloomberg assesses.
