HaydonKerk Motion Solutions adds Catalyst Motion Group

The Connecticut-based company Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions, a provider of linear and rotary motion solutions, has absorbed the Catalyst Motion Group as a supplier of integrated motion systems, it announced in a press release Tuesday.

Catalyst manufactures custom-made, high-precision linear and rotary motion systems, and is a brand of AMETEK Precision Motion Control. AMETEK Precision Motion Control is a division of AMETEK, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices with 2014 annual sales of $4.0 billion.

Catalyst specializes in motion system technology, focusing on application-specific solutions. The company expresses an expertise in manufacturing and engineering that is related specifically to linear and rotary motion systems, providing full-service integrated motion system development, design, test and manufacture. Its expertise includes both single-axis and multiple-axis systems that use Haydon, Kerk, Pittman and Dunkermotoren components or are custom designed to client’s specifications.

Recognized as a leader in motor miniaturization, Haydon Products Division has been building electric motors and stepper motor based linear actuators for almost half a century. Kerk Products Division was established in 1976 as manufacturers of non-ball lead screws, linear rails, and actuator systems.

Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions is headquartered in Waterbury, CT with additional manufacturing operations in New Hampshire, China, and France. Their products are used in medical equipment, laboratory instrumentation, machinery automation, aerospace, analytical equipment, computer peripherals, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and other applications that require precision motion.
