Holdings company acquires Bartley Pump to expand in California

PumpMan is continuing to make acquisitions and attempt to grow since entering the fold of Soundcore Capital Partners around this time last year.

Saddle Brook, N.J.-based PumpMan Holdings LLC, the parent company of the original PumpMan namesake based in Southern California, announced August 31 it has acquired Santa Rosa, California-based Bartley Pump. PumpMan Holdings also includes Alyan Pump, the OEM manufacturer and pump servicing company based in Folcroft, Pa.

Barley Pump specializes in pumps and systems residential, commercial and agricultural uses. The company has been in business since 1954 and serves Sonoma, Napa, Lake, Mendocino, and Marin counties north of the San Francisco Bay Area. Special services of Barley include well videos, well capacity testing, well maintenance & rehab, water quality testing and backflow.

“With the acquisition of Bartley Pump, we expand our expertise to include agricultural pump system service and repair,” Donald Devine, CEO and president of PumpMan Holdings, told NJBiz.com. “With Northern California’s complex landscape and topography, Bartley Pump brings the unique knowledge base needed to service the intricate systems of the region. With this acquisition, PumpMan now serves both Northern and Southern California, making this an important step in growing PumpMan into a national brand.”

Bartley’s current owner and president, Don Kaminski, will stay on with the new company, and Bartley Pump will keep its brand name, now operating under the PumpMan Holdings umbrella.
