Flanders acquires Alabama Electric Motor Services

Pursuing its seemingly insatiable drive for expansion, the privately owned FLANDERS company has added another jewel to its crown of acquired motor businesses. The recently announced acquisition of Alabama Electric Motor Services increases the number of Flanders’ Regional Service Centers and field offices to 18, including outposts in Australia, Africa, and South America. The company headquarters are located in Evansville, Indiana.

The company made the announcement in a press release that suggests that the AEMS workers will keep their jobs:

The facility’s 18 employees and equipment are valuable additions to FLANDERS’ existing business. Through this acquisition, FLANDERS will be able to serve this region with additional capabilities including new motor manufacturing, large motor repair (up to 110 tons), and additional systems integration services.

Flanders’ chief operating officer Allen Patterson further praised the Sheffield company by saying, ““The Alabama facility is a great fit with FLANDERS’ electric motor repair and systems integration business and our core values…This acquisition extends our reach into this region by continuing to provide excellent and additional services to existing customers, as well as growing relationships with new customers.”
