Potomac Gets EMT Backup

Both companies growing in the predictive maintenance/electrical testing sectors

Potomac Testing, Inc., the independent electrical testing and engineering services company serving America’s Mid-Atlantic, has acquired Electrical Maintenance Testing of Carmel, Indiana.

Potomac Testing engineers and technicians travel worldwide to serve clients with multiple facilities, but the company’s primary service area is the mid-Atlantic states: Potomac is based outside of Washington, D.C., with satellite offices in Philadelphia and Sterling, Va.

EMT, meanwhile is a NETA-Accredited third party entity which functions as an unbiased testing authority, professionally and financially independent of manufacturers, suppliers, and installers of equipment or the systems being evaluated. EMT’s technicians are capable of conducting the tests in a safe manner and with complete knowledge of the hazards involved, including all applicable NFPA 70E and OSHA 29CFR 1910 requirements.  EMT uses equipment that is calibrated annually and is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
