Gus Baechle, 35-year EASA leader, has died at 89

Electrical Apparatus is saddened to learn of the death of August “Gus” Baechle, a career electrical engineer and longtime EASA vice president, who passed away at the age of 89 on October 17, according to the Schrader.com rememberance website.

Mr. Baechle (pictured below) was a veteran of the Korean War, where he served in the U.S. Navy. He also served more than three decades as Executive Vice President of EASA from 1961-1996. He was succeeded by Linda Raynes, who currently holds the position. A native of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, Mr. Baechle died not far from home, in Manchester, outside of St. Louis.

Services for Mr. Baechle will be held this weekend:

Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manchester, MO

Saturday, November 14th, 10 A.M.

A private burial was held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
