Tampa Armature Works turns 100!

Tampa Armature Works, classic repair shop and innovative servicer, celebrates its 100th birthday this year. As an EASA member, Electrical Apparatus advertiser and trade show staple, we’re more than familiar with the company and its wonderful staff.

The company still services and sells motors, pumps, and tons of other core electromechanical equipment. Yet, its transformation is apparent—look no further than the original site it purchased from TECO in 1960, which now serves as a social hotspot in the Heights/Riverview neighborhood of its home city. The location is still home to TAW’s headquarters and bears its trademark logo. As Paul Guzzo of the Tampa Bay Times reported, this yields the occasional funny misunderstanding from food court-goers. Take a virtual tour below:

Congratulations are in order for a century earned…not an easy thing to do in today’s world. Congrats to the entire TAW family!
